The two have come together!

This week I received a package from grandma neicy. It was sweet, she gave me some home made candies...that was nice.

Our area has been pretty rough, we are planning on having a baptism next week but we have had a rough time, so we fasted this week, and we are trusting in what we know is true. While fasting, I felt that God knew what we we're doing and was okay with him.

We have been teaching a woman at a small medical clinic, the clinic has a bible, but we have been teaching so many people there that now the clinic has a Book of Mormon. The two have come together!

I don't have much to say this week, I am hungry, and a little tired. I am fine, I am happy doing this work!

Thank you mom

It reminded me of the joys of home!

Thats sweet, I never got to do trek, where did they do it? Good ol overals. Wow the pool looks sweet, do we have a diving board again?

Seeing Brother Rex was sweet! It has been a long time, and reminded me of the joys of home. It was really nice of him to find me. Where I am was not very close to him and he sacrificed some of his time to visit and deliver the package you sent. I sent back with him something for you.

Our home teacher and friend Dan Rex was on business in Ghana and was so kind to take time from his busy schedule to visit Cody and deliver a package from home. "Seeing Bother Rex reminded me of the joys of home."

This is what Cody sent back with Dan to give us. A missionary from Fiji carved this into a Book of Mormon.

The package you sent was sweet! I am glad for conference and I got to watch conference this week. It was so sweet. I got to pass the sacrament on Sunday, and it has been a really long time, it was really good for me. Remembering Christ as I pass the sacrament and helping others to partake and renew a covenant was humbling. The pictures in that package were awesome, thank you mom, Jana and Zac and family. And thank you Brother Rex for doing some home teaching in Africa!

Sometimes it doesnt always go the way we plan!

Mother's Day gift from Ghana! Our last mission call home but our first time to Skype in with him the whole mission!

Wearing out his "sole" in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Elder Van and I

I was able to talk to Brad which was sweet, and we also made hamburgers last night, so we really enjoyed. Happy Mothers Day again!

This week I moved back to our area (Tema), and I am back with Elder Van Wagoner. We were separated for about two weeks to help out with the french missionary who has been waiting for a visa. Also with Sister Stevens, could you understand her when she called?

So I am getting cloth to make our family some cool shirts for the guys and skirts for the women. So I don't know what size to make Jeff and dad and brad and you and jana for the skirts. Do you like these fabrics ? I will need your measurements.

Elder Kadima ...A french man in our apartment!

I got to see one of my former companions at the conference. Conferences are more exciting these days because I know more missionaries.

My mission is nice. Sometimes it doesn't always go the way we plan, but I have a great time telling people about the gospel of christ. My health has been good, I have an ingrown toe nail, that was almost healed, but I kicked a wall and now it hurts again.

I got to see Tyler at the area conference!

That will be sweet to see Brother Rex (Friend from our home ward in Ghana on business next week and hoping to see Cody). Yesterday as we were walking home our bishop called us and started to ask me if I was from California, I said yes, then asked me where in California, and I said orange county. He told me that someone from our stake was at his house and wanted to talk to me. Someone with the surname Campbell he is from Mssion Viejo and he said he is married to a Chamberlin girl (Sarah Chamberlin)...I talked to him (Scott Campbell) on the phone but it was super sweet and random that someone from home happened to be inside my ward boundaries in Ghana. Its too bad that we had to go home and do some reports, I really wish that I could have met him at my bishops house but he said he would say hello to you.

It is very possible that I could skype you on Mother's day. You will need to send me your skype account name so I can call you. Elder Van Wagoner has an ipod and our apartment has wifi from our landlord. So if there is light we can skype, if not I will call. So on Sunday, 2 pm sounds fine, I will call you before and tell you if I can skype, and we will set it up. So you send me your SKYPE account name?

I got to see Tyler at the area conference. It was sweet to see each other this week. It was nice to see a friend in Ghana. We didn't even know what to say to each other. It just felt comforatable ...like back at home.

(Love this below: Elder Schoessow's mother was creative and re-wrote a scripture from the Book of Mormon. These pics of these two California friends finally meeting up in Ghana after almost two years inspired her thoughts)

Alma 17:2-3

Now this son of the Becketts was with Tyler at the time they first attended early morning seminary; therefore Tyler "did rejoice exceedingly to see his brethren; and what added more to his joy, they were still his brethren in the Lord; yea, and they had waxed strong in the knowledge of the truth; for they were men of a sound understanding and they had searched the scriptures diligently, that they might know the word of God."
3 "But this is not all; they had given themselves to much prayer, and fasting; therefore they had the spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of revelation, and when they taught, they taught with power and authority of God."

This is our apartment

Goat Head Ward Party It was left over, we just cooked the body, but someone took the head  to make a soup.

Mom this week we had a DRC elder from the MTC come stay with us because he hasn't got a visa to Ivory Coast. He speaks French so he is with elder Van Wagoner and iIam with Elder Udonsa. It was supposed to be for a week, but now it is more. So it has been fun and challenging with an elder in the apartment that doesn't speak english. I hope this week they will put me and elder van wagoner back to gether.
